Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Nick Dottore is the founder and inventor behind NicX, where he leads the company’s vision, product innovation, and strategic direction. After graduating from Morehead State University with a degree in Marketing, Nick combined his background in sales, entrepreneurship, and Division 1 college athletics to launch a mission-driven startup focused on helping people quit nicotine for good.
As the holder of a patent-pending nicotine reduction system, Nick is pioneering a new category in health-tech—one that blends behavioral science, smart hardware, and clinical research. His drive, discipline, and firsthand understanding of what it means to push limits are the foundation of NicX’s bold approach to addiction recovery.
David George
Co-Founder & Chief Operations Officer
David George is the Chief of Operations at NicX, where he leads execution across logistics, business strategy, and early clinical operations. With a background in business and entrepreneurship, David brings the systems-thinking and resourcefulness needed to scale a health-tech startup from concept to market.
Currently pursuing a degree at Cleveland State University, David draws on a track record of managing complex ventures—including a marketing agency, a multi-division service company, and hospitality businesses.
At NicX, David plays a pivotal role in coordinating clinical trial logistics, overseeing compliance workflows, and supporting the company's go-to-market strategy. His cross-industry perspective and operational discipline help position NicX as a credible, execution-ready player in the behavioral health and digital wellness space.
Jared Thompson
Chief Marketing Officer
Jared Thompson serves as Chief Marketing Executive at NicX, where he channels his creativity and strategic expertise into revolutionizing the nicotine cessation industry through innovation. A Morehead State University graduate and former division I football athlete, Jared was hand selected by the Head of Entrepreneurship as a top marketing student of his class. He became a Kentucky Pitch finalist for his innovative thinking and entrepreneurial drive.
Jared is the founder of Golden Peak Marketing Solutions, specializing in digital marketing, media creation, web design, and lead generation. A true believer in the NicX movement, Jared is dedicated to leveraging his skillset to put an end to the nicotine epidemic through creative, tech-driven solutions.
William Dottore
Co-Founder & Lead Engineer
Will is a mechatronics engineering student at Kent State University with hands-on experience in mechanical design, electrical systems, and microcontroller programming. As co-inventor of NicX, he developed the device’s smart lock system, programmed the core logic, and led the 3D mechanical design of the V1 prototype.
With a background that includes engine rebuilds, radar systems, and fabrications, Will brings a builder’s mindset and cross-functional skill set to NicX’s product development. He currently leads hardware prototyping and R&D as the company advances toward clinical testing and full-scale manufacturing.
